First and foremost: You are NOT allowed to Roleplay, as long as your profile has not been approved. Especially when fights are a great part of the Roleplay, can we not have overpowered characters running around, which needs a control. Please be a bit patient with us and listen to the moderators. They are only doing their job to have the board running and are not turning, the dismantling of profiles into a hobby of theirs.
1.) Follow the template and fill it out like instructed. If you have questions regarding the profile, then ask please. You have the c-box and the pm function, mods and regular members available.
2.) Make sure to have a guild in mind. It would be a great idea if you speak beforehand, with other 'guild members' if you can join them or with other new 'in-progress' people if they would like to make a guild with you. It feels a bit MMORPG like, but that is not too bad, is it? The reason for this is simple.
We can have more guilds, once the RP begins to flourish with members, but we cannot do too much about missions, when we have dozens of '1 Member Guilds' running around. If we have an overabundance of guilds will no additional guilds be allowed.
3.) Ranks are fairly important on the board, as they also lead to your missions, but it would be nice to have some growth in your characters. S-class are allowed, but you have to see them as something rare. We will keep a good watch on them and not allow any new ones, if the number becomes too big. Also keep in mind that the history plays an important role in your profile.
A character with 4 sentences of standard text, hardly having done anything in his life, can hardly be an S class magus. Requirements to be strong, will increase, the more strong fighters are in the same guild. Keep this in mind, but you can always speak with the mods, if you have specific plans. Still: Having a character, that might not advance too much is no fun, is it?
4.) Keep your techniques to your style AND to your Rank. A weak Level C Magus, can not use high class magic and also make your techniques balanced. If you have one strong spell in your list, then please make sure, that the other two are weaker.
5.) Create humans and no aliens. It would be nice to see original characters, but crossover characters are allowed as well, AS LONG as they are no 1:1 ripoffs. You also have to fit them into the world of Fairy Tail and do not expect the world to bend to your character's history or abilities. If you are unable to adapt to this, then you obviously do not know anything about Fairy Tail and should look for another board.
Whereas I have to add here, that you do not need to be an expert about FT. You can always ask for help, but do not quarrel with the mods, when you see your profile denied, because your character is a Vulcan, who uses High Tech Beam Weapons and has lived a long time in New York City, where the FT Guild is placed as well. Yes! There are no aliens, nor New York City, nor High Tech Weapons in the Fairy Tail World. The theme is primarily medi-eval.
6.) No character linking. That means, that you cannot simply create Natsu's little sister or be Lucy's secret lover, etc. If you wish to link to an OC, can this be done, but ask the owner of the character, beforehand.
7.) Just one character. If we have people, who all have the same or very similar abilities, will have something be done about that. Also are pictures who are used, already taken. You are not allowed to use them anymore. We do not wish to have Gray Clones running around and I doubt that you would like to see your carefully selected pictures over and over again, being used by other members. The same applies to the name.
8.) Each character needs its own account, an avatar and a physical description. We really prefer pictures over physical descriptions, as they are faster to look up and most people having real problems to write on physical descriptions, which than causes lengthy problems with the approval. If you are highly skilled in writing one of those, can you live without a picture though.
9.) You can have as much characters as you wish, or better can handle. If we see, that you only like creating and do not rp them, will all new profiles get automatically denied. It is just not fair, when you create a character, put them into a thread and then forget about the thread, because you find your new character more interesting. Do not create them, if you do not wish to control them.
10.) Rule 10 is based on Rule 9. You can also have a bigger number of canon characters and we actually wish to fill the important canon spots, before having a huge OC cast. Nonetheless are Canons especially important, and their RPers have to be especially dedicated. Hence are we going to take a very thorough look at your activity before giving you the chance on a second canon character, a third and so on.
Also do we not think, that it is very intelligent to have RPers RPing with themselves, which makes it impossible to RP canons, who are in the same team, or have excessively high contact with the other. Roleplaying Natsu and Gray is as such not allowed. Even if some people might find quarreling with themselves funny.
11.) As previously stated are canons supposed to land in the hands of dedicated members. If you are unable to RP them, can they easily land in the hands of another person. If you show that you like roleplaying is your character quite save, though. Even if a better roleplayer might show up, will the character remain yours and dedication is the GREATEST ASSET a roleplayer should bring with him. Remember that.
12.) DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT make an account with a canon character, before you got the okay. Canon characters are important. Again and again. Just as much as rules have to be followed. You cannot write a canon profile, before the Moderators have not given you the okay to make one. We simply have to check first, how well you are able to play the character and how much you know about them, before simply putting them away and then facing the horrible truth, that the profile was just a well interpreted illusion.
